Its IOB (Index of Bond) of 4.9 is practically the same as that of damaged hair (4-5), so it is selectively absorbed into the most damaged areas and easily penetrates the hair fiber.
It provides amino acids found in human hair, notably cystine (S-S), key to the strength and structure of keratin.

SILK PROTEIN:
Hydrolyzed Japanese silk that, unlike other hydrolysates, maintains the triple amino acid sequence: Glycine-Serine-Alanine.
These are the smallest amino acids and are responsible for giving hair the characteristic texture of silk for a silky and healthy feel.
